Regardless of age, gender or the social class you belong to, you must have either used electronic cigarettes yourself or at least known someone who enjoys them.

This is because e-cigarettes are known to be an effective way to replace the more unhealthy habit of smoking cigarettes. The habit of using e-cigarettes, or “vaping”, is rising slowly in the U.S. and all over the world due to its advantages against traditional cigarettes.

Around 60 percent of people who now use e-cigarettes used to smoke cigarettes in the past. In fact, many of them still smoke traditional cigarettes.

But they maintain that vaping is helping them taper from the quantity of traditional cigarettes that they used to smoke each day.

Why Are They Becoming Popular Among Parents As a Way to Quit Smoking?

As a parent, you always want the best for your child. And it holds true when you want to quit the harmful habit of smoking that could affect your kids and could influence them to follow it in the future.

But quitting smoking is no easy task. In fact, it is so difficult that about 95 percent of people who try to quit smoking without a proper program fail in achieving their objectives. Nicotine patches can only do so much, since you then miss the habit of “smoking” something.

As e-cigarettes are healthier than traditional cigarettes, they help you get on the path of quitting cigarettes without affecting your health as much as traditional cigarettes do. They also satisfy your mental craving of smoking, without actually having you smoke tobacco.

Sounds too good to be true? It really isn’t.

The liquid or “vape juice” in e-cigarettes does not have tobacco in it. Instead, it is composed of direct nicotine content in addition to other substances such as propylene glycol, glycerin, and flavorings. This saves you from the more harmful properties of the tobacco smoke from traditional cigarettes. But at the same time, it gives you your fair share of nicotine.

This way, they make it easier to taper off of your smoking habit. This is done first by replacing that habit with vaping, and then allowing you to slowly lower your nicotine consumption every day.

All of this contributes to a better way to quit smoking or replace it with a relatively healthier routine. This way, you don’t have to struggle with quitting smoking only to stand back at square one.
