Out of all the very many USA and world tourist destinations, one of the most surprisingly satisfying are the Utah vacations. People are always thinking about places like California, Nevada, and Florida when it comes to US tourism, but the truth is that, for the distingushed traveller, Utah offers so much more that you might not have thought about.

Here are some of the reasons we think that you should focus on Utah as a potential domestic vacation destination.

Ease Of Travel:

Utah is actually so accessible from just about anywhere else in the USA. There are direct flights in from the majority of the US’s bigger airports, and even if you wind up having to change planes, the layover is usually very short, as are both flights. It’s very possible to, say, eat breakfast at home and be eating a timely lunch in your Utah spot.

Amenities:

Utah’s tourism scene is very mature and knows how to cater to you. From ski-in bars and restaurants sporting some of the best locavore gastronomy, to 7300+ hectares of some of the worlds best skiing on Park City mountain, to 5 incredible natural parks packed with some of the best scenery human eyes have ever seen and topping if off with the creature comforts to make you experience it all in the best of style, Utah delivers on every level.

Please don’t think that Utah is only for skiers either. Utah is a 12 months a year delight for people who like all sorts of activities and all sorts of weather. Summer time just means that instead of skiing the focus shifts to rock climing, hiking, and spelunking. As a matter of fact, it could be said that Utah is not properly experienced until it has been experienced both in the warm and cold weather!

Activities:

We haven’t even yet mentioned the tons of other activities available in Utah. These include but are not limited to:

-Mountain biking, considered by many to be the world’s best.

-Scenic driving, this is practically free, and an incredibly good option. You get mountains, forest, and desert right next to each other.

-White-water rafting, also considered to be among the world’s best spots for this pastime.

-Tons of landmarks to see, including the Bonneville Salt Flats, the San Rafael Swell, Lake Powell, and Monument Valley (since Monument Valley is on Navajo land, a guide is required). Don’t be afraid to get a new pair of glasses online before vacation so you can take in the sights to the fullest.

A great way to see all this stuff is to find a place offering Utah RV rentals and save on accommodations. It’s also very convenient to see Utah this way at your own pace and schedule.

Camping:

Any camping enthusiast who hasn’t yet done Utah is really missing out on something. Once again, you have your choice of time of year and climate, and of many amazing scenarios to catch the clearest night skies you will ever see. Utah is a very camping-friendly state, with tons of campgrounds chock full of amenities, and very affordable camping fees. Whether you like to pitch a tipi or roll in in your luxury RV, Utah is just made for you to camp out in it!

Sundance Film Festivals:

This may be a newer film festival compared to other famous ones, but that doesn’t mean it’s not established or mature. Any film lover needs to go here and experience this incredible vibe. One if its unique features are the Q&A sessions after watching the films, with the director and often one or more of the main cast members present. If you love film at all, please do yourself the favor and go to this.

It’s Clean And Safe:

Utah is clean party because the population is not very dense at all and has tons of unspoiled lands. But its also clean because the people take things like being clean very seriously. It’s also very safe for the same reason.

Let’s be honest, many US tourist destinations are fun and wild and have great gastronomy and nightlife and many other amenities, but you have to watch your back at every step of the way and can never just let your hair down. It’s not even necessary to name names, because they are many, and we all know which ones they are.

In Utah, it’s just about as safe as any human environment gets. Nobody is going to clone your credit card, nobody is going to pickpocket or bother you in any way. It’s just stress-free vacationing, the way it should be.

Utah is More Diverse Than You Think:

Utah is also a very tolerant place. Despite its reputation as a bastion of social conservatism, the fact is that the local population are very tolerant of diversity in creeds and cultures. For example, one of the world’s biggest Hindu festivals actually takes place each year in salt lake city, with foreigners and locals, Hindus and people of other religions participating happily.

In fact the attitude that you are welcome to express yourself as long as it doesn’t interfere with public safety or cause a danger is very much alive in Utah. We would even go so far as to say that public perception of Utah is based largely on misunderstanding born out of fear and mistrust.

At any rate, all you have to do is go for yourself and see for yourself that things are not as they appear in the news. Which is something we hope people who read this article will seriously consider doing in the near future. We hope that you have your Utah experience to tell everybody about very soon so others will hear about how underrated and in many ways incredible this state is.
